A Roddicking Good Time by Manic Martin

It really was bitter-sweet sixteen
As I learned that day we’d lost a queen
A regal rebel in this money-mad age
Notions and potions, potent and sage
She did her best, as we all should
If money is power then hers looked good
Some vanity ain’t always sin
‘Cos she was beautiful within
I’m no royalist, but what the heck
At least she wrote JB that cheque

Hi Manic,

I loved the Poem when I read it over at BizFace - I remember going to the first shop Roddick opened in the old lanes Brighton and the Buzz around what was then a new thing.

Good on Roddick for always keeping the principles to the last

Cheers RoyMogg

Keep up with the poetry it really is something

Hello Manic,

A beautiful poem for a beautiful woman - I have always admired her strong position on principles, wish there were more like her.

I agree with Roy, you should keep writing, it makes us feel good - hope it has the same effect on you too.
Thanks
